In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged the international community to take notice of the plight of oppressed Kashmiris and come forward to resolve the Kashmir dispute for peace and stability in the South Asian region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said in a statement issued in Srinagar that Kashmiris have suffered enormously under India’s continued hegemony, its rigid stance on resolving the Kashmir dispute, and the communal and anti-Kashmir agendas associated with Hindutva and the RSS.

He said the Kashmir dispute is a major nuclear flashpoint in South Asia and should be resolved through meaningful, result-oriented talks involving Pakistan, India, and the genuine leadership of Kashmir.

He urged the Indian government to abandon its militaristic and rigid approach to Jammu and Kashmir and resolve the long-standing dispute in accordance with the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
