Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres at the UN Headquarters in New York and exchanged views on regional situation and key international issues.

They discussed Pakistan's mediation efforts to help resolve conflicts in West Asia, as well as the United Nations peacekeeping, with particular emphasis on Pakistan's longstanding contributions to UN peacekeeping missions.

The UN Secretary-General appreciated Pakistan's efforts for peace.

He thanked Pakistan for its long-standing contribution to United Nations peacekeeping operations and its continued commitment to advancing global peace and security.

Mohsin Naqvi said that despite numerous challenges, Pakistan's leadership, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir acted responsibly to promote regional peace and stability and safeguard human lives.
