Federal Secretary Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil says Marka-e-Haq serves as a beacon for posterity, affirming that victory belongs to those whose actions are anchored in courage and unwavering determination.

He was speaking in a special video podcast of Radio Pakistan today on the completion of one year of the victory in Marka-e-Haq.

The Secretary Information appreciated Pakistani mainstream media for establishing its credibility across the world for factual and authentic information dissemination.        

He said Pakistani media countered India's hawkish rhetoric through fact-based news reporting.                     

The Secretary Information said the barrage of disinformation created by Indian media was effectively dismantled by Pakistani media's credible reporting.                                        

He said there was a perfect synergy between ISPR and Information Ministry, and we ensured that every news story was released only when its authenticity was established.                     

He said fake news is a daunting challenge in this fast paced digital age, therefore, every social media user should show responsibility especially in sensitive situations like war.
