The All Parties Hurriyat Conference says Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos was a remarkable demonstration of Pakistan’s superior military capability and professional excellence.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said that Pakistan delivered a befitting response to India’s aggression carried out under the cover of darkness and wrote a new chapter in military history.

The APHC urged the international community to take serious notice of India’s stubbornness and expansionist ambitions and exert pressure on New Delhi to resolve the Kashmir dispute in line with relevant UN resolutions.

Meanwhile, posters have appeared in various areas of IIOJK to mark the first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, paying tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces.

In another development, the BJP-led Indian government has further curtailed the authority of the elected government in the occupied territory by granting sweeping powers to the New Delhi-appointed Lieutenant Governor.

The powers include the interception of calls and messages, surveillance and decryption of communications, and suspension of telecom services.
