Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister Retired Justice Maqbool Baqar says provincial government intends to run electric buses on the Bus Rapid Transit to reduce pollution.

He was talking to a delegation of Asian Development Bank led by F Cleo Kawawaki in Karachi on Friday.

The Caretaker Chief Minister said Sindh government has prepared the feasibility report of the electric buses project which will benefit around 50,000 passengers daily.

About the recycling plant being set up in Haroonabad Karachi, the Chief Minister informed the delegation that the project will greatly reduce carbon emissions and it will cost around 180 million dollars.

The ADB delegation assured its full cooperation to provincial government in materialization of these projects.
