Pakistan Army has completed the construction of a 66-kilometre-long road track connecting Astore to Skardu.

The new road track has significantly reduced travel time between Astore and Skardu to just a few hours and restored direct access to the district headquarters for eight villages in the Phoota Khas Valley of Gultari.

The road track will also boost local trade, agriculture and the transportation of livestock between Astore and Skardu.
