Reactions have been pouring in following the ongoing battle between Palestinian resistance groups in the besieged Gaza Strip and Israeli military.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry posted a statement on X, calling for an ‘immediate halt to the escalation of the conflict.’

The Persian Gulf Cooperation Council meanwhile urged an immediate ceasefire, and protection of innocent civilians, holding Israeli occupation forces responsible for the current situation.

Arab League chief Ahmed Aboul Gheit urged an immediate halt to the conflict as well, blaming the Zionist regime’s policies for instability in the region.

Many countries, including Turkiye, Oman, the UAE, Egypt, Brazil, Russia and China also called for restraint, with Moscow saying that it is in contact with Israel and Arab countries.

Western states however voiced support for Israel and condemned Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas for launching attacks on Israeli positions.

Other Palestinian movements have also voiced support for Hamas.
