Pakistan has condemned the reprehensible attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against civilian and economic targets in Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran in Saudi Arabia.

The Foreign Office, in a statement today, said these attacks are a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom, pose a threat to peace and stability of the entire region and undermine efforts aimed at securing a peaceful and durable resolution of the conflict in Yemen.

The Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan's unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and prosperity of Saudi Arabia. It said Pakistan stands in complete solidarity with the leadership, government and brotherly people of Saudi Arabia.

The Foreign Office also conveyed Pakistan's sincere wishes for the swift and full recovery of all those injured in the attacks.

Consistent with the UN Charter and international law, Pakistan fully supports the Kingdom's legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend its territory, protect its citizens and residents and safeguard its national assets against any threat.

The Foreign Office said Pakistan has been and will continue to make all efforts for achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
