Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has said that a project worth 6.8 billion rupees has been planned to screen people for diabetes.

Addressing an event in Islamabad today, he said the project is being started from the federal capital, while the provinces will also be included in the initiative.

The Minister expressed concern over the high prevalence of diabetes in the country and stressed the need for prevention and greater public awareness about the disease.
