CWG 2022: Arshad Nadeem wins gold medal in javelin throw competition

In the ongoing Commonwealth Games at Birmingham, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem has won gold medal in the Javelin throw competition with a monstrous throw of 90.18 meters.

This is the second gold for Pakistan in Commonwealth Games 2022.

Earlier, weightlifter Nooh Dastagir Butt had won the gold medal for Pakistan in the Commonwealth Games 2022 with a record lift of 405 kilogram.

President Dr. Arif Alvi, the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa have congratulated Arshad Nadeem for winning gold medal in the Javelian throw competition at the Commonwealth Games.

In their felicitation messages, they said Arshad Nadeem has made Pakistan proud for setting a new record and creating history with his exceptional performance.

Pakistan has secured eight medals including two golds in the Commonwealth games at Birmingham.
