
Chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has said dialogue remains the most effective way to resolve all issues and disputes.
Addressing a news conference in Lahore today, he said the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government had made every possible effort to resolve matters through peaceful means and mutual understanding.
Condemning the attack on the Combined Military Hospital Rawalakot, he said the incident is highly deplorable and unacceptable.
He said there could be no justification for attacks on the country's security institutions.
Tahir Ashrafi said it is the responsibility of the state to take action against those who violate the Constitution and the law.
He said Paigham-e-Pakistan is a nationally agreed document promoting peace, tolerance and unity.
He added the National Peace Committee is actively working across the country to foster harmony and stability.
