May 08, 2026

A grand All Pakistan Mushaira titled "Marka-e-Haq Mein Jab Utra Sukhan," organized by Radio Pakistan was held in Karachi.

It was organized to commemorate the victory in "Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos" and to pay glowing tribute to Pakistan's Armed Forces as well as the country's political and military leadership.

The spirit of patriotism, national cohesion, and the sacrifices of the Armed Forces were highlighted poetically during the Mushaira.

Through their poetry, the poets expressed deep love for the homeland, national pride, and the spirit of defending the country, while the audience warmly appreciated and applauded every impactful verse.

The Mushaira was presided over by renowned poet Professor Sahar Ansari, while Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani was the chief guest.

It was a unique and historic Mushaira of its kind, in which poets from across the country participated via digital link. Owing to this modern and traditional blend, it is being regarded as the first hybrid Mushaira in Pakistan's history.

Renowned poets, literary personalities and a large number of people from Karachi attended the Mushaira. They highly appreciated this literary and national initiative of Radio Pakistan.

The participating poets termed this unique effort as an excellent example of promoting the national narrative and expressing love for the homeland through literary activities.

In his address, Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani paid glowing tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan for defeating the enemy.

He said India staged "Pulwama drama" in darkness and attacked Pakistan, but the Armed Forces of Pakistan responded immediately and decisively, successfully shooting down the enemy aircraft.

Speaking at the concluding session, Director General Radio Pakistan Saeed Ahmed Sheikh thanked all poets, guests, and participants.

He said Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar had specially directed that Karachi, known for its rich linguistic and literary heritage, should host this Mushaira, and today the people of Karachi have proven it through their overwhelming participation in the event.
