Pakistan's National University of Sciences and Technology, has signed a Document of Understanding with China's Weifang Engineering Vocational College, Qingzhou Municipal Government and Weifang National Comprehensive Pilot Agriculture Zone, for strategic cooperation to promote research on modern agriculture.  

The Document was signed at China's Weifang city, under which the four sides agreed to work together for promoting agricultural technology under the framework of CPEC.

They agreed to focus on construction of the entire agricultural industry chain system, deep processing of agricultural products and related industrialization development.

Speaking on the occasion, Pro Rector Academics of NUST Dr. Osman Hassan said research on sustainable agricultural resource management systems is a major challenge and this agreement will play an important role in filling the gaps.
