The government is taking effective measures to promote investment and facilitate business activities.

Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registered a record number of over five thousand new companies during the month of October this year. The highest number of 991 companies were registered in the IT sector, followed by 767 in trading and 594 in the services sector.

According to an SECP report, the total number of registered companies has reached 321,794, with 99.9 percent of registrations completed online.
