Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the country's first fully electric mechanical sweeper truck, which will be used for washing and cleaning the Lahore Ring Road.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister was briefed about the functions of the truck, which will operate for seventy kilometres on a full charge.

She was also informed that the zero carbon emissions of this modern truck will reduce environmental pollution levels as well as road dust.

It will also reduce noise pollution levels while eliminating fuel and maintenance expenses.
