Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal contacted Deputy Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Liaquat Baloch on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Ahsan Iqbal conveyed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s message to Jamaat-e-Islami.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had spoken to the Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer by telephone and asked him to withdraw the protest call.

Following his conversation with the Prime Minister, the Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer had postponed the protest.

The Minister for Planning and Development said the meeting agreed upon during the Prime Minister’s conversation with the Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer will be held soon with mutual consent.

He said providing relief to the people is among the government’s priorities and the matter will be discussed further through mutual consultation.
