Omani Minister for Housing and Urban Planning Dr. Khalfan bin Saeed bin Mubarak Al-Shuaili met Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Muscat and expressed interest in Punjab’s “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” housing project.

The Omani minister congratulated Maryam Nawaz on receiving the "UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award".

Maryam Nawaz briefed the Omani minister on Punjab’s housing initiatives and said the provincial government plans to build "500,000 homes for low-income families within five years".

The two sides also discussed sustainable urban planning, housing and development. Dr. Al-Shuaili appreciated the role of Pakistani companies in Oman’s real estate sector.
