India pursuing settler-colonial agenda in IIOJK: APHC
September 07, 2026

All Parties Hurriyat Conference says India is pursuing a settler-colonial agenda in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir to alter the Kashmiri identity.

In a statement, the APHC spokesman said the approach poses a serious threat to the indigenous population, culture and political identity of the territory.

He said India's demographic engineering in the occupied territory constitutes a blatant violation of UN resolutions and international law.

The spokesman said the brave and resilient Kashmiris will foil India's nefarious designs.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders, in their statements, have appealed to the international community to increase pressure on India to give Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination and resolve the Kashmir dispute.

A report by Kashmir Media Service says thousands of Kashmiris, including Hurriyat leaders, activists and women, continue to face illegal detention in jails in India and the occupied territory under draconian laws.

According to the report, more than three thousand political detainees have been facing illegal detention without trial and due legal process for demanding their inalienable right to self-determination and raising voice against Indian atrocities.
