Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the entire nation on the signing of the historic Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

In a statement, he said that the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement marks a historic and significant development in strengthening the deep-rooted, fraternal and longstanding relations among the three brotherly Muslim countries.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain said that the landmark defence cooperation between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye is an important step towards greater unity, solidarity and protection of the shared interests of the Muslim Ummah.

He stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan has consistently attached the highest importance to strengthening relations with brotherly Muslim countries and promoting regional peace, stability and collective security.

He said the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement further highlights Pakistan’s important diplomatic, strategic and defence role in the region.

Paying tribute to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Armed Forces of Pakistan, Chaudhry Salik Hussain said that Pakistan’s strong defence capabilities remain a guarantee of the country’s peace, security and sovereignty.
