Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah and Caretaker Chief Minister Yar Muhammad separately called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Gilgit today.

During the meetings, matters relating to the ongoing development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan, law and order situation, and other administrative affairs were discussed. 

The Prime Minister also underscored Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace, stating that the country played a significant role in recent diplomatic efforts for ceasefire during the Iran-US tensions.

 He said that history would acknowledge Pakistan’s constructive contributions.

He also lauded the efforts of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for the ceasefire to circumvent protracted conflict in the region.
