The Spokesperson said the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq is not just remembering the past, but it is about shaping the future.
He said the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq is an occasion to reinforce national resolve that sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of the country would be defended with all possible means and with full resolve.
Replying a question regarding Indian arms-buildup following New Delhi's crushing defeat in Marka-e-Haq, the Spokesperson said Pakistan is keeping a watch on India's post-war modernization particularly acquisition of platforms and system, which threaten the world at large.
He said Pakistan will ensure that its credible minimum deterrence stays. He made it clear that our military preparedness and acquisition of technologies would be sufficient to maintain our robust defence.
Answering another question, Tahir Andrabi said peace and security in South Asia remains a concern for our international partners. He said the belligerent statements emanating from New Delhi are a cause of concern.
He said Pakistan has always underscored the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in settlement of all bilateral issues with India. Pakistan's position is also anchored in international law, in the UN Charter, in the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
