Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the core philosophy behind the 'Uraan Pakistan' initiative is to put Pakistan on a transformational path.

He was presiding over a special meeting on the alignment of sectoral priorities, plans, and interventions with 'Uraan Pakistan' in Islamabad today.

Ahsan Iqbal emphasized that growth must be inclusive, ensuring equity and poverty alleviation through job creation and youth development.

He described the emergence of 'e-Pakistan' as a new pillar of the country's transformation strategy, focused on reimagining the national economic model through digital ecosystems in fin-tech, agri-tech, and green-tech, that have been designed to generate jobs and attract investment.

The Minister said policies are being shaped to position Pakistan as a regional IT hub, supporting artificial intelligence labs, digital finance, cyber security, and cloud infrastructure.
