Religious Affairs Minister arrives in Saudi Arabia to oversee hajj arrangements

Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has arrived in Saudi Arabia to personally supervise Hajj arrangements for the facilitation of Pakistani pilgrims.

Radio Pakistan Correspondent Abdul Rehman Cheema reports from Saudi Arabia today that after arriving in the Kingdom, the Minister visited the Pakistan Hajj Mission in Madinah and received a comprehensive briefing regarding the ongoing Hajj operation.

Director Hajj in Madinah Zia-ur-Rehman, along with Deputy Coordinators Tariq Mehmood and Major Dr. Muiz, briefed the Minister on various aspects of the arrangements.

It was informed that forty percent of hotels in Madinah have been booked at zero-line locations, ensuring close proximity to Masjid-e-Nabawi. It was further told that new standards of service and facilities have been introduced this year to enhance pilgrims' experience.

Expressing satisfaction with the Hajj arrangements and medical facilities,

Sardar Muhammad Yousaf said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed to ensure special care for Pakistani pilgrims.

He emphasized that the government is committed to serving the pilgrims beyond political affiliations and urged Pakistani Hujjaj to uphold national dignity and adhere to Saudi laws during their stay in the holy land.
