China has termed unprovoked Indian attacks on Pakistan as regrettable.

In a statement issued in Beijing on Wednesday, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said China finds India's military operation on Wednesday morning as regrettable.

He said we are concerned about the ongoing situation.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson said India and Pakistan are and will always be each other's neighbors. They are both China's neighbors as well.

The Spokesperson said China opposes all forms of terrorism.

He urged both sides to act in the larger interest of peace and stability, remain calm, exercise restraint and refrain from taking actions that may further complicate the situation.
