PTI Govt will not offer National Reconciliation Ordinance to any corrupt person: Fawad
February 07, 2019

Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said PTI Government will not offer National Reconciliation Ordinance to any corrupt person.

In a video message, he said this was decided during the meeting of the senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf held in Islamabad today with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.

The Minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan has been struggling against corruption for the last 22 years and it is impossible that he will give anyone NRO.

He said cases against all corrupt elements will be taken to their logical conclusion.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said the senior party leadership also expressed concerns over the way Shahbaz Sharif using Public Accounts Committee as a shield against corruption cases.

He said Shahbaz Sharif as chairman of PAC summoned officers of National Accountability Bureau and pressurized them, which indicates that he is using the committee as a shield against corruption cases he is facing.

He said now PML-N is trying to include Khawaja Saad Rafiq to PAC so that he can also benefit from this shield.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain made it clear that Aleem Khan's arrest is not a balancing act and justice should be seen to be done.
