Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr Musadik Malik has stressed the need to adopt modern and advanced technologies to address the challenges of climate change and global warming.

Addressing a ceremony in Karachi today, he highlighted the devastation caused by floods and natural disasters in Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of the country, saying millions of people had been displaced and thousands of houses destroyed.

The Minister also commended the people for embracing solar energy, saying its growing use had helped the country save foreign exchange that would otherwise have been spent on importing LNG.
