Defence & Martyrs’ Day ceremonies held at Malir, Quetta Garrisons

Dignified ceremonies were held at Malir and Quetta Garrisons today to mark Defence and Martyrs’ Day.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and the Corps Commander Karachi, along with senior officials of the Sindh Rangers and police, attended the ceremony at Malir.

The Sindh Chief Minister and Corps Commander Karachi laid floral wreaths at the Martyrs’ Monument, offered Fateha and prayed for the departed souls.

A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honour at the Martyrs’ Monument.

The Sindh Chief Minister and Corps Commander Karachi also met the families of the martyrs and paid tribute to them for the unparalleled sacrifices rendered by their loved ones in defence of the motherland.

In Balochistan, the central ceremony was held in Quetta, which was attended by the Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan, Corps Commander, and other senior civil and military officials.

A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute at the Martyrs’ Monument in Quetta. Civil and military officials laid floral wreaths and offered Fateha to pay tribute to the martyrs.

On the occasion of Defence and Martyrs’ Day, roads in Gwadar were decorated with banners highlighting national resolve, sacrifice, steadfastness and courage.

The Frontier Corps Balochistan also organized a ceremony to pay tribute to the martyrs and acknowledge their supreme sacrifices.

People across Balochistan expressed their love for the motherland and paid rich tribute to the martyrs for their great sacrifices in defence of Pakistan.
