Advisor to the Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad says United States has shown its keen interest in making investment in Pakistan's Oil and Gas sector to build massive reserves.

In a post on social media platform X, he said that Pakistan is the only country, US shown its investment interest in addition to a competitive tariff deal. 

The Advisor to the Finance Minister further said that Pakistan stands at nineteen percent, the lowest in South and Southeast Asia whereas US President Trump imposed an additional twenty five percent tariff on India, taking the total US tariff to fifty percent.

Sharing the list of high tariff countries by US, Khurram Schehzad said that with this penalty, India is now facing the highest US tariff, matched only by Brazil.
