World Bank reaffirms commitment to support Pakistan in achieving development goals

The World Bank has reaffirmed commitment to support Pakistan in achieving long-term development goals through sustained engagement, strategic financing and technical expertise.

The resolve was expressed during a meeting between Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Ahad Khan Cheema and Country Director of the World Bank, Bolormaa Amgaabazar at a meeting in Islamabad today.

The Country Director of the World Bank also expressed the confidence that, with consistent efforts, Pakistan can unlock stronger investment, enhanced productivity, and inclusive growth.

The discussion focused on the key outcomes of the Country Partnership Framework (CPF). The CPF is a 10-year Framework for Pakistan with a support of 20 billion dollars for development projects and reform programs.

On the occasion, Ahad Khan Cheema highlighted that the Federal Government and all provincial governments are on board and are committed to implementing the CPF and achieving its intended outcomes.

The Minister also appreciated the continued support of the World Bank Group and reiterated the government's resolve to ensure continuity of policy and the effective implementation of reforms.
