A meeting of the Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures was held in Islamabad today with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair.

Ishaq Dar reviewed the current status of different austerity measures as announced by the Government earlier.

He stressed that since international fuel prices are still very high therefore, it is a national duty of everyone including the Government that the conservations and austerity measures may be followed in letter and spirit. For tasks of very important and urgent nature which are hit by these measures the cases may be brought for consideration of the Cabinet Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures so that essential functions of Government are not compromised.
