In United States, a Congresswoman has introduced a bill to restrict aid to Israel as it contributes to abuses of Palestinians.

Democratic Congresswoman Betty McCollum's presented bill would prohibit US aid from contributing to the detention of Palestinian children and to military activities that facilitate further unilateral annexation of the occupied West Bank.

In a statement, the congresswomen said not a single US dollar aid should be used to commit human rights violations, demolish families' homes, or permanently annex Palestinian lands.

Israel receives at least $3.8bn in US aid annually.
