
A meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad has decided to transform Islamabad Safe City into Capital Smart City.
The Interior Minister said Capital Smart City will have a modern system for traffic management and crime control.
He said all resources are being utilized to make Islamabad a safe city.
During the meeting, the progress of Phase Two of Islamabad Safe City was reviewed.
It was decided that work on Phase Two will be completed by 30th of next month.
The Interior Minister instructed to ensure that the Safe City project is completed within the stipulated timeline.
Mohsin Naqvi said the Central Command and Control System in Islamabad will be upgraded, and that policing, traffic and civic services systems will be integrated.
The meeting also approved the new design of the Safe City Headquarters.
