ADB expresses commitment to support sustainable development in Pakistan

Pakistan's economic growth is expected to four percent in current Fiscal Year due to tighter fiscal and monetary policies before picking up again in the next fiscal year.

This was stated by Asian Development Bank says in a report issued Wednesday.

The ADB said the growth is expected to accelerate to four point five percent in Fiscal Year 2022-23 due to stronger private consumption and investment.

Meanwhile, ADB Country Director for Pakistan, Yong Ye said economy in Pakistan is recovering steadily after   well-coordinated fiscal and monetary responses to the pandemic.

He said comprehensive reforms in tax policy and administration are also critical to boosting revenues in order to fund essential public services.

Yong Ye said ADB is fully committed to supporting Pakistan’s sustainable development.
