Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry says his Ministry wants to collaborate with Ruet-e-Hilal Committee for ending moon-sighting controversy in the country.
Talking to a private news channel, he said this long standing issue can be resolved with lunar calendar by adopting modern technology.
Fawad Chaudhry said the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee uses telescopes for moon sighting which is an older technology.
He said the Science Ministry has prepared a lunar calendar for Pakistan and this technology is also being utilized by nine other countries.
