The 30th death anniversary of renowned Pakistani playback singer Mala Begum was observed on Friday.

The popular Urdu and Punjabi singer sung more than 300 songs in almost two decades singing career.

Mala was born in Faisalabad, and her real name was Naseem Nazli. She was younger sister of Pakistan’s first female music director Shamim Nazli. She died on this day in 1990.
