Khunjerab Pass has been made operational year-round for trade between Pakistan, China and Central Asian countries.

Khunjerab Pass facilitates the movement of various goods, including machinery, textiles, electronics, and food items, which is of great significance for the economic development of neighbouring countries.

In recent years, Pakistan has also used this route for the delivery of industrial and agricultural products to Central Asian states, particularly Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

The year-round opening of the Khunjerab Pass will strengthen economic ties between China, Pakistan and other countries in the region, promoting regional trade.
