Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said the three remaining Pakistani crew members of the hijacked oil tanker MT Honour 25 off the coast of Somalia have been successfully rescued.
In a post on social media platform X, he said the three crew members, Imran Ali, Muhammad Yasin and Syed Husain Yousuf, have been flown to Addis Ababa, accompanied by a team from the Embassy of Pakistan in Djibouti.
He said they will depart for Pakistan on the first available Ethiopian Airlines flight to Karachi, expected on Wednesday.
The Deputy Prime Minister expressed Pakistan's deep gratitude to the Government of Somalia and the European Union Naval Force Operation Atalanta, present in the vicinity of MT Honour 25, for their assistance and cooperation in securing the release of the crew.
