More than 232,000 intending pilgrims have completed their online registration for next year's Hajj during the first 14 days of the registration campaign.
A Spokesperson of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony said the registration process is being carried out through the National Information Technology Board's mobile application, Pak Hajj, and the online Hajj Portal, enabling applicants to complete the entire process from their homes without visiting banks or government offices.
He said 175,000 applicants opted for the government Hajj scheme, while approximately 58,000 registered under the private Hajj scheme.
The spokesperson said that, out of the total registered applicants, 136,000 are men, while nearly 96,000 are women.
