Extremist organizations, including the RSS, operating under the patronage of the BJP and backed by covert foreign funding, have deeply influenced Indian society.

According to Indian magazine The Wire, influential figures within government circles maintain loyalty to the Hindutva organization RSS, which holds significant influence over the Modi government.

The report states that the US-based India Development and Relief Fund transferred hundreds of thousands of dollars to the RSS between 1995 and 2002.

It further states that there is documented evidence of Hindu nationalist groups' involvement in violence against Christians in Gujarat and in the 2002 killings of Muslims.

Indian political analyst Raju Parulekar says that terrorist organizations around the world maintain covert funding networks across the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.

According to Indian magazine Frontline, Hindu organizations abroad collected funds under the guise of relief work and transferred them to the RSS.

The Wire also states that while the government has taken strict action against ordinary welfare organizations over foreign funding, the RSS has been given a free hand.

The Indian newspaper The Telegraph has also reported RSS efforts to spread nationalist ideology among youth in West Bengal.

According to the report, the RSS has targeted students in medical and engineering colleges as part of its outreach to approximately 250,000 young people in Bengal.

Indian analyst Dr. Pankaj Shrivastava says that fearing exposure of its funding sources, the RSS has avoided formal registration and continues to promote hatred in society.
