Balochistan govt implementing wide-ranging reforms: CM Sarfraz
July 05, 2026

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti says the provincial government is implementing a wide range of reforms and development initiatives to create opportunities for youth and promote sustainable development across the province.

He was speaking during an open session on X Space, attended by participants from different walks of life, including critics, NGO representatives, and sub-nationalists.

The Chief Minister said several projects are being implemented under the Youth Engagement Plan to enhance employment opportunities for young people in every district of the province, including Gwadar.

He said the provincial government has introduced pension reforms, an electric vehicle policy, measures to reduce unnecessary expenditures, and comprehensive reforms in several government departments.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti said special funds have been allocated for the Education Endowment Fund and scholarship programmes to promote higher education in Balochistan.

He said a four-billion-rupee project has also been launched to provide high-speed internet connectivity to all government schools, colleges, universities, and health facilities across the province.

Referring to the law and order situation, the Chief Minister said that a handful of violent elements cannot undermine the writ of the state in the presence of Pakistan's highly professional and capable armed forces.

He added that the Baloch Yakjehti Committee had attempted to incite violence under the guise of advocating for missing persons and public rights.

According to experts, the Chief Minister's evidence-based stance effectively countered the misleading propaganda regarding Balochistan.

They said the participation of thousands of young people in the X Space and their support for the state's narrative demonstrated the failure of Indian proxies.

The experts further said that the Chief Minister's direct engagement with the public and his willingness to answer difficult questions with facts and composure reflected transparent governance and effective public outreach.

It is pertinent to mention that the online session attracted more than sixteen thousand participants at its peak.

During the session, the Chief Minister answered questions directly and presented facts and evidence on issues relating to Balochistan.
