In India, differences have emerged between Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria over the creation of integrated theatre commands.

According to India today, the differences over theatre commands escalated and IAF Chief Bhadauria rejected CDS General Bipin Rawat’s supporting role’ view.

Speaking to India Today TV, political favorite of Modi and Ajit Doval, General Bipin Rawat said IAF will be a supporting arm but the Indian Air Chief has refused to accept a downgraded role of a supporting arm.

The discourse has also exposed the level and acumen of military leadership and its understanding of the future challenges facing India.
