In the United States, at least four persons have been killed in a small plane crash in Virginia State.

The Federal Aviation Administration said the US military scrambled F-16 fighter jets in chase of the wayward and unresponsive plane that flew over Washington, DC before crashing into the mountains of Virginia.

It was not immediately clear why the plane was unresponsive or why it crashed.
