In Sri Lanka, opposition has rejected an invitation from the president Gotabaya Rajapaksa to form a unity government, urging his resignation over worst economic crisis in the country.

The opposition’s demand came after anti-government protests continued throughout the country and deepening mistrust in President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s leadership.
