Spectacular ceremony held in Islamabad to unveil Yadgar-e-Fatah

A spectacular ceremony to unveil the symbol of Pakistan's victory in Marka-e-Haq, the 'Yadgar-e-Fatah,' was held in Islamabad tonight [Saturday].

The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Capital Development Authority.

Federal Secretary, Information and Broadcasting, Ashfaq Ahmed Khalil, graced the ceremony, while other senior officials of the ministry and different departments, and a large number of people from all walks of life participated in the ceremony.

The special guests of the event were high-achieving youth of the country, who have excelled in different fields of life.

A major highlight of the night was a breathtaking 3D projection mapping and illumination display on the monument's structure.

The striking visual presentation vividly detailed the glorious journey of Pakistan's victory in Marka-e-Haq and honoured the heroic and professional roles played by the people, the Pakistan Air Force, the Pakistan Navy and the Armed Forces of Pakistan in the defence of the motherland.

The programme also featured soul-stirring musical performances by prominent and award-winning singers from across the country. The artists presented national songs and paid rich tributes to the martyrs and Ghazis.

Yadgar-e-Fatah, a masterpiece of modern technology and architecture, is an enduring symbol of the nation's unwavering resolve, unity, sacrifice and the courage of its Armed Forces.  The 220-foot high landmark monument has been built to honour the country's martyrs and commemorate Marka-e-Haq.

Yadgar-e-Fatah will remain open for the general public from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. from Tuesday to Sunday.
