Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi in Peshawar today.

During the meeting, various aspects of the deteriorating law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as developments arising from the long march, were discussed in detail.

The meeting expressed concern over the possibility of terrorists crossing security checkpoints during the long march.

The meeting termed the use of helicopters and other government resources by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and provincial ministers during the long march as an open violation of the Islamabad High Court's decisions.

The meeting also agreed that, whenever the President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister deem it necessary to impose Governor's Rule or an emergency to protect the province from terrorism and destruction, the Governor House will play its full constitutional role.
