Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has announced that construction work on the Sukkur-Hyderabad M-6 Motorway will begin next month.

In a statement posted on X, he said the M-6 Motorway would give a new impetus to trade and commercial activities in Sindh and across Pakistan.

The minister said the project would also play a significant role in promoting the country's economic growth and strengthening regional connectivity.

Meanwhile, the National Highway Authority has completed the process of land acquisition for the motorway after making payments of about Rs15.26 billion to landowners.

The project requires over 7,500 acres of land across its alignment, all of which has now been acquired, marking a major milestone for the construction of the 306-kilometre motorway.
