Lahore Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Ijaz has announced that registration for the manufacturing of kite-flying materials for Basant 2027 in Lahore will begin tomorrow.

In a message on X, the Deputy Commissioner said permits would be mandatory for manufacturing kite-flying materials across Lahore, with only individuals issued no-objection certificates allowed to produce the materials. 

The district administration teams will closely monitor the production of approved materials.

He said the administration would ensure a safe Basant in Lahore, stressing that the use of approved kite sizes and cotton string would be essential for public safety.
