The Ministry of Religious Affairs has set November 20 as the deadline for the selection of Hajj packages and payment under the private Hajj scheme.
This was stated by Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, in a statement, today.
He said sixteen basic Hajj packages, ranging from one-point-four million to three-point-seven-five million rupees, have been finalized under the private scheme this year.
He said the private scheme offers pilgrims the option of short-duration packages, direct flights from abroad and five-star Hajj packages.
Muhammad Umar Butt said most Hajj organizer companies have uploaded their Hajj packages on the digital portal. He urged private pilgrims to select their Hajj package and make payments only through the Hajj Portal or the Pak Hajj App.
The Spokesperson made it clear that the ministry would not be responsible for any loss if payments are made directly to any individual or company.
He said a total of 71,684 seats have been allocated for the private Hajj scheme this year. He added that if the allocated quota is not filled by the stipulated date, the ministry has the authority to reallocate the quota.
