In Afghanistan, Taliban have captured sixteen more districts after a fierce battle with government forces.

The Taliban now control roughly a third of all 421 districts of the country.

Meanwhile, Afghan Defense Ministry has claim that two hundred twenty-four Taliban have been killed in Afghan forces operations.

On the other side, at least two people including secretary of Kandahar provincial governor were killed and another injured in IED explosion at the entrance gate of Kandahar governor today.
