Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says Pakistan is keen to elevate its economic ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia into a mutually beneficial economic partnership.

He was talking to a high-powered Saudi business delegation, led by Chairman of the Saudi-Pak Joint Business Council Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, which called on him in Islamabad today.

The Prime Minister welcomed Saudi investments in diverse sectors and suggested that agriculture and food security could be priority areas where both countries could explore mutually beneficial opportunities.

He recalled the visit of Prince Mansour and the Saudi business delegation to Pakistan in October 2025, and hoped that the current visit would help both sides to carry forward the discussions and sign MoUs and agreements in various fields.

Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his respectful regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

On his part, Prince Mansour thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and hospitality and expressed the keen desire of the Saudi Government, as well as the business community, to enhance B2B engagement with Pakistan across a number of areas.

They expressed interest in investing in projects related to ports, highways, airport outsourcing, energy, power distribution, and the IT sector.

The Saudi delegation will hold meetings with key government and private sector partners to enhance Saudi investments in Pakistan, in line with the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
